please stop romanticizing every friendly gesture, especially physical touch and compliments. friends should be able to give other friends hugs and nice words without fearing that someone will think that there's something ~romantic~ afoot. physical touch psychologically stimulates more positive emotions about oneself and others, and compliments connect people on a deeper level. let people love in whatever way they choose. that's all!
